Writer, teacher, editor, human.

I am an English teacher, writer, and editor based in Hamden, Connecticut, USA.

I currently teach English and advise the newspaper at Hopkins School in New Haven. Previously, I was a New York City Department of Education Model Teacher and a member of the inaugural cohort of the DOE’s Integrated Co-Teaching Lab. In 2016, I completed the selective Leaders in Education Apprenticeship Program.

I studied English Writing (Nonfiction) under Lee Gutkind at the University of Pittsburgh (magna cum laude) and later earned an M.A. in Adolescent Education (English) from Hunter College.

We are all human, and we want to live our best lives and thrive. As an English tutor and writing coach, my pedagogy is student- and writer-focused: I meet learners and writers where they are, engaging their interests and ideas to chart a path toward new realms of discovery and mutual understanding.
